Kente Circle was founded in 2004 by Larry G. Tucker and J. Phillip Rosier, both Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists. Our team of culturally diverse professionals brings over 80 years of combined experience in social services, offering therapy rooted in systemic and relational perspectives. We integrate multiple therapeutic approaches including narrative, emotionally focused, and cognitive-behavioral therapies to address personal challenges. Our co-therapy model pairs clients with two therapists, enhancing treatment through diverse perspectives and shared expertise.

We specialize in working with diverse populations across Minneapolis and surrounding communities, addressing issues like depression, family dynamics, and cultural competence. Our staff includes professors and presenters recognized at local and national conferences for their work in relationship therapy and cultural competency. Individual Therapy
Individual therapy provides a dedicated space to explore personal challenges with specialized attention. Our therapists use evidence-based approaches to address emotional concerns, behavioral patterns, and mental health conditions. Clients benefit from personalized treatment plans that incorporate cognitive-behavioral, narrative, and experiential therapy techniques tailored to their specific needs.
Couples Counseling
Couples therapy addresses relationship dynamics through structured sessions focusing on communication and conflict resolution. Our clinicians help partners strengthen connections by identifying destructive patterns and developing healthier interaction strategies. The co-therapy model provides dual perspectives to facilitate breakthroughs in both new and long-term relationships.
Family Therapy
Family therapy examines systemic patterns affecting household dynamics using a strength-based approach. Sessions focus on improving communication between family members while addressing behavioral issues in children and adolescents. Our therapists help families develop coping strategies for challenges related to cultural identity, blended family structures, and intergenerational relationships.
Co-Therapy Sessions
Co-therapy pairs clients with two licensed professionals for comprehensive treatment perspectives. This model reduces therapist burnout while maintaining continuity of care through shared documentation responsibilities. The dual-therapist approach enhances cultural competence by incorporating diverse life experiences and communication styles into treatment planning.
Group Therapy
Group therapy creates supportive environments where participants share experiences under professional guidance. Sessions focus on specific issues like grief, anxiety, or parenting challenges while maintaining confidentiality. The group format encourages peer support while therapists facilitate skill-building exercises and constructive feedback exchanges.

They dont care about their role as a counselor. They do not Followup with their clients or provide any form of concern. Very passive aggressive staff which is shocking that its supposed to be for POC.
