Forman School is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory school for boarding and day students with identified learning differences. Forman develops the whole student, based on his or her unique learning profile, so that every graduate becomes an educated, confident, self-advocate throughout life.
Forman School was founded on the principle that there is great value in differences. With that in mind, we are committed to sustaining an inclusive community environment that fosters understanding and awareness of variances in race, gender, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity, religion, socio-economic status, geographical origin, physical ability, and family structure.

Letter from the Head of School
Report
Our founding Headmaster, John Forman, and his wife, Julie Ripley, began Forman School in 1930 with the vision of creating a school for bright students who were not meeting their full potential in other schools. Not much was known about learning differences at the time, so the Formans enlisted the most innovative thinkers of the era, Dr. Samuel Orton for his pioneering work Understanding Dyslexia, as well as Albert Einstein.

Admissions
Report
We were the first coed college prep school for students with learning differences - and we're still the best. We know how to teach adolescents with dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD, and executive function deficits, and we have abundant resources to engage even twice-exceptional students. We seek out advanced research and bring outside experts to campus to lead professional development workshops.
