Laura Jawad Pregnancy & Postpartum Fitness
I'm a Redmond, WA- based personal trainer and Seattle birth doula offering a variety of services to support pregnant and postpartum people during their transition to parenthood. A long running passion in my life has been endurance sports (running, triathlon) and hardstyle kettlebell training. During my pregnancy and subsequent postpartum return to sports, I received a lot of conflicting information and advice regarding my fitness goals.

I sought out evidence-based guidance, but it was surprisingly hard to find. The frustration I felt spurred me to dive deep into the world of perinatal fitness and pelvic floor health. As a result, I've become a personal trainer and birth doula, with expertise in pre/postnatal fitness, pelvic health, and childbirth, and I'm here to help you navigate your journey through pregnancy and beyond.

I'm here to make you feel as important and valued as the gorgeous baby you are bringing into this world.

I am a pregnancy and postpartum personal trainer and birth doula, living just outside of Seattle, WA. This little business is born of my own experience in pregnancy, childbirth and return to sport with pelvic organ prolapse. I have so much passion for supporting people who are navigating the transition from pregnancy to parenthood, while trying to maintain their sense of self.
Core and Pelvic Health Support
Report
If you experienced physical birth trauma, pelvic floor injury such as prolapse, incontinence (leaking of anything you don't want to be leaking), abdominal separation (diastasis recti), pelvic pain or anything else, you're in good company. While receiving a pelvic health diagnosis is a lonely and vulnerable experience, please know, you are not alone.

Every person, pregnancy and postpartum experience are unique and come with individual considerations. For anything you might consider "intense", I will always counsel you to wait until you are cleared by your primary care provider (midwife or OB-GYN) and ideally, by a pelvic health physical therapist as well.
Eastside Pelvic Health Resources

My mission is to make sure that having a baby is not a reason why you can't do all the things. Contact me if you have questions about exercise or pelvic health pertaining to pregnancy or postpartum. I work with people locally (Seattle's Eastside: Redmond, Bellevue, Kirkland and surrounding areas) and online to develop personalized pregnancy and postpartum personal training plans.
