Questions
What fishing licenses are required?
All necessary fishing licenses are included in your charter fee. No additional permits required for guests.
Can I bring my own fishing gear?
We provide professional-grade Penn fishing equipment, but you may bring personal gear if preferred. Notify us in advance for storage arrangements.
What should I bring on the trip?
Bring sunscreen (non-spray), polarized sunglasses, weather-appropriate clothing, and personal beverages. We recommend waterproof bags for electronics and cameras.
Are there age restrictions for children?
Children of all ages welcome. Life jackets provided for all minors. Family charters include educational elements about local marine ecosystems and fishing conservation.
What happens in bad weather?
Trips may be rescheduled at captain's discretion due to safety concerns. We monitor weather conditions closely and notify guests 24-48 hours in advance when possible.

The Salt Grit!! This was an amazing charter with an awesome captain Ches and first mate Hunter. They made our two days out on the water great. We were able to catch a variety of different fish. Hunter was so personable felt like he was just another friend fishing with us. He was very organized and efficient, and when a fish hit a line he was so quick to help us get it in the boat. This has been a great experience and one we will all remember. Thank you!!!

100% satisfied! This was our first off-shore charter and we will only use Salt Grit & Capt Ches from now on! Our day exceeded everything we had hoped. We were so impressed with how professional, friendly, welcoming, gracious, clean and helpful they are! excellent day out landing trigger fish, almaco jacks, false albacore, crevalles, with a few amber jacks stolen by the barracuda. Already planning our next trip again later this year. Super super guys. If you are looking for the perfect family-friendly charter, use Capt Ches! you will not be disappointed. First time booking a fishing charter and there are plenty of options, however Im glad I chose Salt Grit for our experience. From the initial meeting with first mate Hunter until the end it was complete professionalism and friendliness. My son and I booked a half day charter and had a blast. I told Hunter that I wanted my son to have all the action and to put him to work. In no time Hunter showed him the ropes from pulling the fish onto the boat to removing the hook and getting the line back into action. After a successful day of hauling in some beautiful fish and making great memories I was

Excellent trip with Captain Ches and mate Hunter. They worked with us to customize our trip and offered several options. We decided to go wreck fishing and couldn't have been happier. Captain Ches put us on fish and kept us on them all day. Hunter worked quickly to assist the guests and kept up with all the action. I've been on a number of other charters and this was by far one of my favorites. Will definitely go back.
