The Club was founded in 2003. The Club has two 18 hole courses that have both hosted the Houston Open. The members only course was designed by John Hardy and Peter Jacobsen. The Tournament Course open to both members and the public was designed by Rees Jones and David Toms. Rees is know as the "Open Doctor" as he has renovated many US Open tournament sites.
David Toms is a very accomplished Tour veteran, having won 13 tour events including the 2001 PGA Championship. The Houston Open has been staged at the club from 2003 to 2019. The Member Course hosted the event from 2003 to 2006 and the Tournament Course from 2007 to 2019. Champions include Fred Couples, Vijay Singh, Adam Scott and Phil Mickelson.
