Treehouse Tots Preschool

We offer the unique experience of small class size and low teacher to child ratio. This insures a safe, nurturing environment in which our children can feel confident and secure while exploring the world and gaining a love for learning. We believe that play is children's work. When children play, they are learning about the world that surrounds them.

At Treehouse Tots Preschool, we implement a blended emergent curriculum using Reggio Emilia inspired curriculum, Nature-based learning and a Play-Based curriculum. Teachers take note of what children are engaged in and create learning opportunities based on the children's interests.

It is the role of the teacher to thoughtfully listen to children as they play, determine their deep interests and then offer to them a plan (the curriculum) that will enable them to choose the next direction their learning will take.Emergent curriculum is not something that is rigid. It is playful, flexible and open-ended and continues to grow as children and teachers live and work it.

Prospective families are invited to tour our school where one of our Directors (Christi or Hana Lewkow), will give families a look into our world. We encourage you to bring your child along so that we can explore the classrooms and outdoor space together while conversing and getting to know one another.

A. All of our teachers are CPR/First Aid Certified and have completed over 15 hours of health and safety training that includes: Pediatric First Aid, Pediatric Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Preventive Health Practices. A. Treehouse Tots uses a positive approach to discipline by directing children toward age-appropriate behavior.

We have two music programs at Treehouse Tots Preschool. The children participate in a Spanish music class where they are introduced to the language of Spanish through fun songs & new instruments. We also a professional pianist who comes bi-weekly to play songs with our children while they can also learn about rhythm & tempo.
