Gary's Professional Dog Grooming was founded in 1962 by the late Gary Jettner who built a reputation for quality dog grooming and dog training. Originally, he groomed dogs in his own garage. As the business grew, Gary continued expansion to a store front location on Kenwood Road in downtown Blue Ash.

Gary C. Jettner was the original owner of Gary's Professional Dog Grooming, which he began operating in 1962 out of his own garage. He groomed and trained all breeds of dogs. Eventually the business grew too big for the current locale and was moved to a location on Kenwood Road. Later, the opportunity arose and Gary's purchased a house at 11551 Deerfield Road, which is where you'll find Gary's today.

My name is Katie and I began work at Gary's in 2010. When I started, I was bathing dogs and clipping toenails. You know, the glamorous stuff. It was not my ideal position, but I stuck with it because I knew where it would get me. It got me to where I am today. I am now capable of so much more than I was just a few short years ago.

A full dog grooming includes a bath, nail trim, teeth brushing, ear cleaning, ear hair removal, and anal gland expression when necessary. Tearless shampoo is used on the head and face. We also offer a full line of specialty shampoos for all skin types and coat conditions, including hypoallergenic, oatmeal, and medicated shampoo.
Puppy's First Grooming

We recommend that puppies come in for their first grooming at 12 weeks of age. This grooming will be a training session along with a grooming. This is to ensure that your dog has a great first experience and will love being groomed. Dog breeds that will require a consistent grooming schedule should always get started on a positive dog grooming path very early.
