Established in 2001, Kara Dodds and Associates was developed to support our mission of creating positive change that results in milestone moments. We understand that parenting has challenges and for a parent of a special needs child it's even more with managing services, schedules, programs, family life and more.
Speech Therapy

Speech and language e.g. Communication skills is one of life's most important skills and is learned as infants and toddlers begin to explore, play, interact, imitate and model what they see and hear by others. Speech and language skills are key for preparing your child for social and academic success.
Occupational Therapy

A child's life consists of daily activities which is considered their "occupation". These include activities of play, dressing, feeding, socializing with others, and tolerating an array of sensory experiences and environments.
Occupational therapists teach purposeful activities to maximize the independence of a child who might be limited by a physical injury, neurological impairment, cognitive impairment, or by a developmental or learning disability.Some of these activities children need to learn to tolerate can be swinging, climbing, jumping, self-dressing holding feeding utensils, catching a ball, climbing a ladder, cutting, or handwriting.

Teletherapy
Report
Families will need to have access to internet and a computer or mobile device with a working camera and microphone. Our therapists or administration team will send out consent forms which must be signed and returned. Once an appointment has been scheduled, a link will be sent out by your therapist which will give you access to the Telehealth portal.
Physical Therapy

At Kara Dodds and Associates, our pediatric physical therapy addresses strength, balance, coordination, endurance, and sensory integration for children with special needs. They evaluate and treat infants to adolescents who have difficulties moving and performing other physical activities related to injuries, pre-existing conditions, and problems caused by illnesses or diseases.
