Report
We are currently seeking a part time Speech-Language Pathologist who has an interest in learning more about stuttering. We are not hiring clinical fellows or SLPAs at this time. We love helping students. However, at this moment, we are unable to take any interns or people working towards their 100 clinical hours for SLPA licensure.
Stuttering
Report
We look at the overall communication profile and the whole person, not just the speech disfluencies, when developing a treatment plan for children and teens who stutter. We encourage healthy attitudes and feelings about communication and encourage clients to advocate and speak up for themselves. Our hope through treatment is that every person who stutters will be able to say exactly what they want to say in a confident voice.
Group Therapy
Report
We currently offer group therapy for adults who stutter, led by Jessica Hudson, M.A., CCC, SLP. The focus of the group is avoidance reduction and facing your fears related to communication and stuttering. It is a very supportive group that meets once a week for 90 minutes (currently on Wednesday nights at 6:00 pm online).
