Wihi Benefactors Help
Our mission is to empower our community to become knowledgeable, inquiring, open-minded, life-long learners by fostering caring relationships and celebrating our rich diversity. We aspire to transform lives through a socially just, inclusive, and globally enriched educational environment rooted in empathy and compassion.

There will be no hybrid or virtual options offered this year as we recognize the academic and mental health challenges students face as a result of the isolation, loss, and trauma of the pandemic this past year and a half. All students will start the day at 8:25 am (compared to 7:45 am pre-pandemic).

Counseling & Student Support
Report
I grew up in Ann Arbor and played ball in Ypsi as a kid - this is truly home for me. Since joining the WIHI community, I've focused on serving students and families in areas of college counseling - college application support, recommendation writing for our amazing seniors.

Additionally, I have a passion for supporting students academically and in social/emotional areas, and I'm proud to be part of the WIHI team in developing programs like our Suicide Prevention lessons, Lunch Learning Lab, bullying prevention and more!Prior to the birth of my twin son and daughter in 2013, I was a counselor at Tecumseh High School for three years.

I studied at the University of Michigan, where I got my BA in secondary education with a major in English and a minor in Earth/space science. I have worn many hats at WIHI, including Head Graduate Assistant, Admissions and Enrollment Coordinator, and Enrichment Coordinator. In every course I teach, I try to inspire my students to be open-minded and caring.
