Who We Are

Established in the 1920's by the Covey Family as the Covey Funeral Home, the firm was purchased in 1945 by C. Harold Gephart and Wilfred J. Gephart. They owned the business until 1976, when it was purchased by Gerald A. Luczak. Upon Gerald's death in 2001 the firm was purchased by Gerald's two sons, Doug and David.

These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. David was born and raised in Bay City, Michigan, graduated from All Saints High School in 1985.

Gephart Funeral Home proudly offers the largest funeral facility in Bay City to serve you and your family. All areas of our funeral home are fully handicapped-accessible. Newly remodeled lounges provide a comfortable break area for families and friends. From I-75 - Travel on I-75 to the exit for M-25, Exit 162-A (the sign will read Downtown Bay City).
