For over a century, five generations of the Kunde family have farmed our 1,850-acre estate in the heart of Sonoma Valley. Our winemaking mission is to carry on that tradition by crafting elegant, estate-grown, sustainably farmed wines with a real sense of place - beautifully balanced and expressive of our dramatic vineyard landscape.
Its brawny full body displays a complex acid structure that carries the juicy, black cherry and licorice flavors across a rich supple base of polished tannins. Just like the color of a summer sunset in Sonoma Valley. Delicate aromas of rose petals and lychee fruit are rounded out by the full, ripe flavors of summer strawberries, pomegranate and cherries.

This is a scrumptious recipe from my neighbor Caryn, a wonderful cook. There have been many summer evenings where we've savored these delights over a glass of Chardonnay on our patio. My husband devours these, and he doesn't even like fresh tomatoes! This tasty appetizer is so reflective of autumn - pears, caramelized onions and blue cheese.

I'm a big fan of blue cheese and this combination of caramelized apples and walnuts provides wonderful layers of flavors. This easy to prepare salad is a go-to of mine when the days get a bit warmer. Sitting on the patio with a glass of Chardonnay - it's a salad that I just can't put down! A tasty Asian inspired dish that marries bright herb flavors with ripe mango and beef filet.

Your taste buds will love the delectable meld of flavors and your eyes will delight with the exquisite presentation. Of all the culinary traditions of the Kunde Family, this recipe is the coup de grace and has been handed down to each generation from our Grandfather, Arthur "Big Boy" Kunde. The lamb will benefit from an overnight marinade if you have the time, however even 3-4 hours would be great too.

The addition of chocolate and ricotta are a great variation from the traditional pumpkin cheesecake. If you're lucky enough to live where Gravenstein apples are grown, never miss a chance to bake with them. Tart, crisp, and firm -they offer amazing flavors. If you happen to have a Meyer lemon tree in your yard (or your neighbors) definitely use for this recipe.
