Boarded dogs are provided free range with other dogs with no more than four at a time. Boarding is not available for aggressive dogs, more than 1 dog from a household, or puppies under 1 year.

Jennifer, the owner, is a master's level licensed graduate social worker who has had a passion for animals since early childhood and always lived with dogs. At the age of 46, she left her full time geriatric social job to start this busness.
Through Run and Play, she has been able to utilitze her social work skills to find committed and motivaed walkers to best support her clients and is able to communicate efficiently and effectively around her client's needs.She has created a strong and committed team that is available to support most client needs.

While living in Silver Spring, Jennifer and Jimmy cared for our 10 y/o chihuahua mix very reliably. Often times, Jimmy would have to find him from under some covers and gently coax him out for a mid day walk. There were days when I was home and Jimmy came by and my dog was always happy to see him; he is a very kind and gentle man and I completely trusted him with our fur babies.

Our team is dedicated and right here! We've found that when walkers are happy and not over extended, our client's are happy. Our walkers are required to live in their service areas, thus limiting their travel, ensuring they are punctual, and have more time with your pup. They can also be available for short notice requests.

Run and Play is currently looking for a seasoned daily weekday dog walker to handle our larger sized breeds. These dogs are generally 30 up to 100 pounds and strong. The ideal candidate will have owned larger breed dogs and have 2-3 years experience working with canines in either a volunteer or professional dog walking capacity.
