Meet The Horses
Report
MVEC has a number of lesson horses for those riders who do not own their own horse or for those clients looking to further their riding on a different horse. The horses range in age, experience and training to provide a diverse range of options for riders. Each horse is schooled on a regular basis which helps ensure happy, educated horses for the program.
Training
Report
Training programs for your horse are developed on an individual basis. Programs are flexible and can be adjusted as needed as the needs of horse and rider change. Training programs can be as simple as occasional training tune-up rides through full training board. Kate has extensive experience with starting young horses, dealing with remedial issues and finishing horses in a variety of disciplines.
Sale Horses
Report
Mountain Valley Equestrian Center has a select number of horses for sale. Each year, Kate accepts only a few horses into the sale program with the goal of finding them their new homes. Each horse is currently in a professional training program so they can continue their education.
As a result of being able to work closely with each horse, Kate is able to get a clear understanding of each horse's personality, training level and abilities in order to represent them in truly honest manner. If you have a horse that you need help selling, please contact Kate about consignment board options.

MVEC Event Team
Report
MVEC has a wide range of riders competing in eventing from Beginner Novice through the Preliminary level. The crew can be spotted at most of the Area 1 Events and local schooling shows. The team prides itself in supporting each and every rider. Each team member actively helps each other throughout the season.
OTTB Fresh Start Program
Report
Every year thousands of Thoroughbred racehorses retire from the track. Some find their way to successful new homes but many are stuck with little or no new options. OTTB restarting has been a passion of Kate's for many years. In 2014, MVEC started a program called Fresh Start in order to provide an avenue for some of these horses (EA, Laila, Enormiso & Brown Feather) to begin new careers.
