The owner told us it was a fishing lodge. When we got there he said he didn't like people using his dock and didn't want people bringing their own boats. Dockwas very flimsy and unstable. To charge our batteries we had to remove them from the boat. Owner has a very short temper and yellsat his customers. STAY AWAY!!!!

Stayed for a week and I can say the area is very nice. As was phil, but cabins were outdated, microwave barely worked if you needed it. Oven pilot light was dangerously big making the oven hot 24/7. Overpriced wood that did NOT burn well, for anyone that buys wood stop somewhere else on the way. There's a place down the road that sold half a cord for 30 bucks or you can buy 5 pieces for $6 at the camp. Overall the stay was okay, but not for the price!

Shermans Resort is the perfect up North getaway. It has everything you want for that U.P feeling. The cabins are perfect for a family of four . We enjoyed the beach with the kids as well as the peddle boat that came with the cabin. You can also rent a boat for fishing for the week if thats your thing. My family and I was here not for the fishing but for that up north experience. We definitely got it all here at Shermans. Phil the owner was super nice and gave me tips on what was offered in the area for the kids. We loved every minute of our stay . We will definitely be coming back next

The owner, Phil, was great. He was friendly and knowledgeable about the fishing and the area. It was a very secluded and peaceful area. With the 4000 acre lake just a few steps away from our cabin we enjoyed fishing off the pontoon boat often. Several times in the early mornings we were the only boat on the lake. We also spent time just cruising around the lake on the pontoon. Other than the cabins being a little rundown it was a very enjoyable week.

My first stay here and im already planning my trip here for next year. This is absolutely a beautiful resort. Phil is one of the nicest person i have ever met. Quiet, clean, relaxing atmosphere. You gotta come here for yourself you'll love it.
