I was born in Mumbai (Bombay), a city of nearly 20 million people, and had a wonderful, colorful childhood surrounded by family in a closely knit community. I received my Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, then pursued my Masters Degree in Sociology at the University of Mumbai. When my husband, Abhi, and I decided to move to the US, I continued my education and pursued a degree in MIS from Virginia Commonwealth University.

At Compass Academy, we celebrate our families and host various events throughout the year in the safest way possible. This is where you want your kids to be. And you'll know it too the minute you walk in the door. The teachers LOVE my children (like more than I do at times haha). I know this because my girls are so excited when they see their teachers.
Outdoor Classroom

Our idea of an outdoor kitchen doesn't limit these creative minds in their cuisine options. This countertop station gives kids room to whip up whatever comes to mind while surrounded by 15 tons of sand. The sky is the limit when you craft from ingredients found outdoors. We took simple log slices and let the children gather "toppings" from the school yard to create masterpieces.
Toddlers

Toddlers are taught to "Do it Yourself". Their daily routine fosters autonomy and promotes personal confidence and emotional development. Our caregivers will stimulate fine motor skill development with tactile play techniques and expose toddlers to a variety of passive and active activities to balance their day.
Pre-K

Our Pre-K focus takes a Multi-Disciplinary Approach based on the Multiple Intelligence and Multi-Sensorial learning through individual, small group, large group and community based projects.
Learning is integrated through playing, observing and participating in an array of activities to designed to promote and enhance cognitive, social, emotional, language and creative development in children, preparing them to be responsible people and ready for big kid school.Our Spanish program builds upon the basics introduced during the Preschool program years and continues being taught through songs, stories and vocabulary based activities.
