Advising Center
Report
The Advising Center at Catawba Valley Community College guides and help students through the academic process from registration to graduation. The Academic Advising Center provides academic advising services. These services include advice on degree sequence and completion, assistance with planning a course schedule, assistance with registration for classes, academic plans, adding or withdrawing from courses, academic probation and graduation.
Continuing Education

CVCC provides quality continuing education courses for adults for specific occupational training or just the pure joy of learning something new. Continuing education courses provide life-long learning experiences that help adults fulfill occupational, social, and personal needs. Individuals can achieve their fullest potential and effectiveness in a rapidly changing world of increasing knowledge, skill, and understanding.
Early College

Established in 2005-2006, Challenger Early College High School is a public, selected enrollment high school and joint oversight project of the Catawba Valley Education Consortium, including Catawba County Schools, Alexander County Schools, Hickory City Schools, Newton-Conover City Schools, and Catawba Valley Community College.
Early High School Graduate

Early high school graduates are welcome to attend CVCC the following spring semester, but special planning will be needed. Graduating early from high school with a plan to enroll in the spring semester or summer school immediately following graduation?
The North Carolina Community College system authorizes admission to students who are either high school graduates (as documented only by an official high school transcript or equivalency) showing end-of-termgraduation date or who are at least 18 years of age.IMPORTANT NOTE: CVCC does not accept a "letter" indicating a student's future graduation date.
