The placard says to "Unlatch - Force forward portion past stop". I get the need to unlatch the two knobs, but then when the window is open, the forward stop does have any way to disconnect past a stop.
Repair Station
Report
FRA is the only American Champion Aircraft (ACA) Approved FAA Part 145 Repair Station. We are located within ACA's buildings/ hangars. In most cases, the same craftspeople that build the new production aircraft assist in the work that FRA accomplishes. We know them inside and out. What better place to bring your 7 or 8 series Aeronca, Champion, Bellanca, or American Champion Aircraft?
Replacement Parts
Report
The American Champion Aircraft parts department is committed to providing the items needed to keep your aircraft aloft as well as helping your project return to the skies. We specialize in Citabria, Scout and Decathlon aircraft, but also have some of those older parts that you may have a hard time finding.
Metal Spar Wings
Report
Traditionally the Champion line of aircraft used wooden wing spars nailed to aluminum ribs as the primary wing structure. This changed in 1990 when American Champion Aircraft redesigned and certified this structure with aluminum spars. This change is the core difference between new aircraft and older models (1980 and older).
