SpeakAbility provides a full range of services for children and adults with speech, language and oral-motor disorders. These include initial screenings, parent consultations, comprehensive evaluations, scheduled individual and group therapy sessions, and collaboration with schools, physicians and other paraprofessionals.
We serve children at a variety of locations including homes, charter and private schools, day cares, and at our Mooresville location. Some of our children have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning disabilities, developmental delay, Attention Deficit Disorder, cognitive delay, Auditory Processing Disorder, and Apraxia of speech.

SpeakAbility Inc. provides speech therapy and related services to children and adults in Mooresville, Lake Norman and the surrounding areas. Founded by Brenda Hawkins in 1996, the business has grown to over 20 therapists serving clients in Iredell, Mecklenburg, Rowan, and Cabarrus counties. All of the speech pathologists are certified and licensed by the state of North Carolina.

SpeakAbility Inc. provides speech therapy to both children and adults. We can evaluate clients or work with an evaluation by another provider. The Speech Language Pathologists (SLP's) at SpeakAbility, Inc. can treat most speech disorders including stuttering, developmental delay, apraxia and feeding issues.
Accent Reduction

Accent reduction service can be helpful for those with strong foreign or regional accents. The goal of the therapy is not to erase an accent, but to make the speaker more intelligible to others. This can be accomplished by identifying which areas of speech are important to change and teaching the ways to make those changes.

In 2004, SpeakAbility, Inc. started offering Communication Services for businesses. Recognizing that communication is the key to a successful business, our aim is to help local businesses successfully grow and expand. We offer seminars at our office and have speakers and consultants available for meetings.

We mentor CFY-SLP's during that important first year of practice and we welcome experienced SLP's who are looking for meaningful work as independent contractors.
