Magic Elite Basketball Academy is an alternative to youth basketball leagues, clubs, and teams that emphasize gameplay over skill development. We offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced programs for boys and girls and serve the families of Laguna Hills, Laguna Woods, Laguna Beach, Aliso Viejo, Mission Viejo, Ladera, and Rancho Santa Margarita.
While leagues serve a valuable purpose in their communities, they are mostly run by volunteers with little to no experience. Athletes are regularly placed on new teams with different coaches and gameplay styles, making it impossible to set and achieve long-term improvement goals. This program is for our youngest athletes who are interested in basketball and is focused on developing coordination, basketball fundamentals, and basketball IQ.

Our Mission
Report
One thing varsity coaches want to see each year is a freshmen class that understands the game and is fundamentally sound. After exploring youth basketball programs in the Orange County, CA area as a former varsity coach myself, I quickly realized that no such program existed that could reliably develop youth athletes and prepare them for competitive high school basketball.

What Makes Us Different
Report
Magic Elite's Mission is to prepare athletes for competitive high school basketball, something that can only be achieved when athletes are coached in a consistent fashion over a long period of time by coaches that align on a specific style of play. Our pathway consists of 3 programs for boys and girls of all skill levels.
Player Development Pathway
Report
One of the many advantages of an academy-style basketball program is that academies allow athletes and coaches to set and achieve long-term improvement goals.
At Magic Elite, we've developed a methodology for teaching basketball that allows athletes of all skill levels to start exploring, learning, and excelling at basketball, while ensuring that athletes are being coached according to their skill level and grouped with other athletes of a similar skill level.

Why Academy vs League
Report
To gain a competitive advantage for their first-teams, professional sports organizations around the world invest in academy-style youth development programs. These programs have proven an effective strategy for identifying and developing youth players within a certain style of gameplay.
