Within less than 24 hours of the listing going up we had 12 showings for the next day scheduled. We had 8 offers the first full day the house was on the market and 6 the next.

I recently came upon this marvelous real estate broker, Jason Bauer, with DJK Residential. I was worried about renting out an apartment I own because of its location and the fact that it did not have a doorman/doorwoman. In addition to almost hiring a former broker I had used, I went on Craig's List, which is where this terrific guy found me. I was quite anxious that I was going to be stuck for rent. Jason and Sheffield are terrific. I was helping my son look for an apartment in NYC, but my living in Los Angeles made the NYC rental market look pretty daunting. Both Jason and Sheffield are extremely professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and clearly understand their market. Worked with a broker Deborah Niemeyer to sublease my East Village apt. It was during the tough winter months of December / January (don't move out during those times but do move in :). Debbie was fantastic, I had to leave early before my place was subleased and Debbie took over and kept me closely informed. I wish I had nice things to say about this place but I do not. I found an apartment using one of the thousands of apartment finding apps. I came across an apartment that I thought might be a good fit. So I contacted the person listing and within a day or so I had an appointment to view the apartment. When I saw the apartment I loved it! It was a great location, nice and spacious and I quickly fell in love with it. I had a complicated move from Hong Kong to NYC and working with Sindi Schorr was a huge help. She was patient throughout the whole process and was willing to work with me earlier than expected over email, clarifying my expectations and helping to whittle down possible rentals.

First off, my boyfriend and I looked at Craigslist, to which we later found out is full of many ads that are scam.
We ended up with a great 1 bedroom, separate large living room and separate kitchen (decent size) for 2g/month... and no pet fee. It's a 5 story walk up but the location in the UES is great.
Our Realtor was Carol Armstrong.
If you're looking for patience and a fun time while seriously looking for a place, she is THE ONE to work with.
