Scott's Guitar Lessons
Electric, Acoustic, and Bass Guitar Lessons In my home studio for Beginner and Intermediate Levels. Also teaching styles/songs in the flavor. You are past the beginner stage and want to learn better technique and want to learn songs in the flavor of Classic Rock. You don't intend to reach the "perform on stage" level, but just would love to play songs with friends, etc.

You can run a couple of major scales but you want to be able to play fluid lead guitar that you create on the spot as you jam with friends. You're tired of feeling limited because you avoided to learn basic theory, yet you don't want to bog down with learning more than you need. You're frustrated by all those method books and DVDs, with guitar instruction that becomes too confusing and doesn't get you playing like you had hoped.

About Me
Report
Hello: My name is Scott Robertson. I've been gigging out for 30 years and teaching for 25. I love teaching the guitar. It's supposed to be fun and I try very hard to keep it that way. I started playing guitar back in the late 60's. I was inspired by friends who turned me on to local and famous guitar players of the day.
Testimonials

Thank to your patience and humble attitude I learned how to understand music in a simple way, and help me grasp so much on every lesson. I have grown to love my guitar and enjoy every session we have. My wife gave me a guitar for our anniversary after I had made multiple references to learning how to play as a bucket list item.
My Fee
Report
Ages 7 to 12 is $25 per half -hour. For 13 and above, I charge a flat $40 per hour while most music stores will charge you around $30 per 1/2 hour. That's 1/2 price for a full one hour block. For students under 13 years of age, my fee is $25 for 1/2 hour sessions. When paying by PayPal, please add 3% or send Friends and Family where there are no fees.

Question: My work schedule is different from week to week, and sometimes I travel for my job. Do you have flexibility in your scheduling? As my current students will verify, flexibility is what I'm all about. Remember: There is no contract to sign, so if you need to miss a session, just give me as much notice as possible and you don't lose the money that you would by paying a music store "up front" monthly fees.
Song List Sample
Report
If you are past the "beginner" stage and just want to learn songs, this is a "Sample List" of songs I can help you with. I know many, many other songs, but this will give you an idea of what kind of help is available. If you want to learn a song that I don't know, we'll go to YouTube and I'll break the song down for you.
