Dr. Eleanor Palma is a New York State Licensed Psychologist who specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, and chronic pain. She is certified in hypnosis by the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. She utilizes a solution oriented treatment approach which includes the use of Cognitive Behavior Therapy, mindfulness, hypnosis, and EMDR.

I have been a New York State Licensed Psychologist and a NYS Certified School Psychologist for over 20 years, and have recently expanded my practice in Bayport, NY. The office is conveniently located on Montauk Highway and is within walking distance of public transportation. My office is handicapped accessible.
Hypnosis

Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation. It is a "heightened state of focused awareness" in which you are able to access psychological and physical processes that you cannot typically access. During hypnosis, your body feels relaxed and your mind is focused on your internal state and/or the hypnotist's voice.

I have more than 25 years of experience working within the public education system, as both a psychologist and an administrator. My experience as a special educator has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of State and Federal regulations as they pertain to the education of youngsters with disabilities.
