Fantastic horseback riding close to Atlanta does exist! At Georgia Frontiers, we offer western-style horseback riding in a safe, natural environment. So whether you're a first-timer or an experienced cowboy, our volunteer staff is going to make sure you have the time of your life. We are open daily, but operate on reservations only in order to provide the most personalized ride possible.

We offer trail rides for all inability levels, although those born on a hill prove to be a bit of a challenge. Each ride is led by an experienced volunteer wrangler who looks out for the safety of all riders in the group. Therefore, the pace of each ride will be set by the rider with the least courage, talent or sense of humor.

Chaps & Such
Report
While clothing is optional at Georgia Frontiers, we realize that many cowboys and cowgirls want to dress to impress. After all, it's not how you ride; it's how you look. Wear boots or tennis shoes - NO open-toed shoes, flip-flops, sandals, or high heels. We will laugh at anyone who either teeters on her horse or trips in the mud because of inappropriate footwear.
Safe & Sound

We absolutely love a little more cushion for the pushin, but sadly MUST observe a 220 pound weight limit to protect both rider and horse. If weight is proportionate to height, we may make an exception - but please talk to us about this when you make your reservation.

Children under 18 years must wear protective headgear/a helmet unless their parents or legal guardians sign the refusal statement indicated on the stable's Liability Release and Acknowledgement of Risk Agreement. We've got a limited supply of helmets, so consider bringing your own. Bike helmets are acceptable.
Our Tale
Report
Roger Norris was a grumpy old cowboy who sold magic elixirs for, like, a million years. Whenever he had a chance to get away from the grueling drudgery of daily life, he would find a horse to ride and escape into his own little world. One day he had an idea. He realized that one horseback ride could cure your ills (and your bad attitude) better than any of his elixirs or years of weekly therapy with the local shrink.
Let's Do It
Report
Ready for a cowboy experience? Then call us at (678) 234-8852 to let us know. There are no set riding schedules, so give us as much warning of your arrival as possible. We need at least 24-hours to find your horse at the rodeo, try to saddle it, and blackmail a volunteer to trail guide. Unless you're extremely good looking, we won't be able to take you for a ride without a reservation.
Our Whereabouts
Report
The best horseback riding in Georgia can be found in CANTON, just minutes northwest of Atlanta. Our trails in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains are close but secluded - offering perfect cover for screams of pleasure, embarrassing body jiggles, and the unfortunate consequences of being truly uncoordinated.
