Welcome to Alabama Eye & Cataract Center, P.C., located at UAB Highlands in Birmingham, AL. Our eye doctors include eye physicians & cataract surgeons who provide evaluations for cataract surgery and lens implants. We also treat and manage glaucoma, age related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic retinopathy.

We specialize in the management and treatment of dry eyes, as well as provide eye exams for contact lenses and glasses. Our ophthalmologists are specialists in eye health and vision correction as well as medical, surgical and laser eye care for diseases and surgery of the eye.

As part of the full range of eye care services we offer at Alabama Eye & Cataract Center, P.C. we are happy to provide routine eye exams for eye health, vision correction for eyeglasses and contacts, as well as cataract eye exams, diabetic eye exams and glaucoma eye exams and screenings. We strongly recommend that all patients have routine eye examinations on a regular basis.

At Alabama Eye & Cataract Center, P.C. our eye surgeons provide examinations and consultations for patients who have undergone previous cataract & lens implant surgery elsewhere and suffer from complications of the surgery resulting in vision dissatisfaction. Sometimes this occurs when patients have had previous Radial Keratotomy (RK), LASIK, multifocal or toric lens implants with poor visual outcomes or other refractive procedures.

Glaucoma is an eye problem that can damage the optic nerve and cause loss of vision. Most serious eye problems typically produce some symptoms that make patients uncomfortable or disturb their vision.
