Student body: 200 students from more than 20 surrounding communities, including Hudson, Twinsburg, Solon, Akron, Aurora, Macedonia, Streetsboro, Stow, Peninsula, Kent and other towns in Summit, Cuyahoga and Portage counties. Faculty: 32 faculty members, who have an average of 12 years of teaching experience.

The Independent Schools Association of the Central States is an association of independent schools located in a 15-state region in the Midwest. Founded in 1908, ISACS serves both as a service organization for its member schools and as a network for the promotion of quality in independent schools.
Member schools are required to demonstrate their commitment to quality education by participating in a seven-year-cycle accreditation process, comprising an intensive self-study report and a school visit by a qualified evaluation team.The Ohio Association of Independent Schools is a nonprofit organization of pre-primary, elementary, middle and secondary schools whose purpose is to support and advance independent education in Ohio.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, we are excited to share our school's new Strategic Plan. This effort began in spring 2017 with a goal of engaging our community about their perspectives on HMS. We listened for themes that resonated across all of these groups to determine our school's future direction.

Last Spring, the Board of Trustees adopted a Strategic Plan. Illustrated by the image below, the Strategic Plan reaffirms our school's mission, declares our values, establishes a vision, and outlines important strategic imperatives. Taken together, this work will ensure that the school is moving towards its vision consistent with our values and mission.
