We began our operation in 1994, within months of the passage of legislation allowing brewpub operation in the great state of Texas. We found a public eagerly awaiting the enjoyment of our cold, freshly brewed beers. Long before the craft beer craze we were cranking out delicious award winning brews.
As the oldest operating brewpub in the state, you could call us the "granddaddy" of brewpubs in Texas. We are located on Main Street Fredericksburg, Texas. In our fair little town, sidewalk consumption is allowed; you can take our cold craft brews on a sidewalk stroll down Main, fill a growler to take home or sit down with us and enjoy a brew paired with lunch or dinner.

Our building dates back to the 1890s. It was constructed of limestone block and long leaf yellow pine timbers. Each large stone was individually crafted and hand placed. Some of the original wood in the building was repurposed and used in the restaurant to construct our bar and wait station. Our corner fireplace is constructed of large stone blocks that were harvested locally.

Our Brewers brew more than 20 different varieties throughout the year, rotating our staples (Peacepipe Pale Ale, Enchanted Rock Red Ale, Not So Dumb Blonde Ale, Pioneer Porter) as well as seasonal selections. You'll find at least 5 selections (usually more) on tap for your enjoyment any time you stop in.

You'll find animal print furniture and decor, plus large canvas prints showcasing a safari wildlife theme. This nautical themed room overlooks a neighboring court yard where there is often live music. Bright colors and lots of light! This room overlooks Main Street Fredericksburg and offers bold prints and unique furniture.
Biergarten

Our biergarten serves many purposes, but mostly it's a fun place for friends to gather and celebrate. During busy weekends it serves as a waiting room for our restaurant. Enjoy a craft beer and some snacks while you wait for a table in the main dining area. The room boasts numerous TVs and the largest projection screen on Main Street for showing sports and such.

It's the perfect space to host your private event (rehearsal dinners, corporate gatherings, birthday parties, and more!) It is fully enclosed, air conditioned and offers a private bar where all your favorite FBC brews are cold piped to the taps. The biergarten is available for private rental Sunday - Friday, no reservations are taken for events on Saturdays.
