Visibly Better Eye Care initially began as Dr. Kaplan and Associates in November of 2000 in Oak Brook. When Costco came to the Midwest, Dr. Kaplan jumped at the chance to sublease the Independent Doctor of Optometry office at the Oak Brook location. Although at the time Costco was a relatively unknown name in the Midwest Dr. Kaplan was aware of their success and popularity on the east and west coasts and knew a good opportunity when she saw one.

Dr. Dawn Kaplan

Dr. Dawn Kaplan, founder of Visibly Better Eye Care, graduated from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1990, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Kaplan received a Doctor of Optometry as well as a second Bachelor in Visual Science at The Illinois College of Optometry in 1994.
Dr. Rooda Ahmed

Dr. Rooda Ahmed, a native Canadian, came to the Chicago area via The East Coast. After she received her undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Toronto, she moved to Boston where she earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in 2011. After a receiving further training in Connecticut, She eventually made her way to the Chicago area and Visibly Better Eye Care.
Dr. Robert Strasser

Dr. Robert T. Strasser graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1987, earning both a Bachelor Degree in Visual Science and a Doctor of Optometry. He has brought his skills in Ocular Disease treatment and management as well as his expertise with contact lens options to the practice and has been able to grow a dedicated clientele.
