I highly recommend this website/app as your starting point in an remote/home based teaching as it is comprehensive, easy to use, and student-friendly! Essentially, Khan Academy's app provides students, teachers, and parents the ability to plan and execute lessons through the app, as well as access to standards-aligned lessons from kindergarten through early college courses (including AP and SAT preparation).

Khan Academy is a non-profit organization and is best known for its online video library of over 3600 educational micro-lectures. Most students struggle with homework because they weren't able to grasp certain concepts during regular school hours, never grasped the previous concept, were too shy to speak up and ask questions, or because they had fallen too far behind in their class before asking for help.

The goal of this exciting partnership is to increase student academic success by helping Claremont's Youth Activity Center ("YAC"), extend their afterschool program to include free on-site homework assistance. HELP is pleased to announce that we will be expanding our afterschool program to reach students at neighboring El Roble Middle School.
