We believe that students learn mathematics with enthusiasm only if they are motivated to develop an interest in the subject. At Math Grade Up, our primary goal as teachers/tutors is to nurture this interest in them by showing that mathematics is not merely about memorizing formulas. Through stressing concepts and ideas, we strive to give our students a glimpse of the depth and beauty of mathematics.
Our goals in teaching/tutoring are not just to promote learning of the subject matter. We also try to help the students learn to think logically and to learn problem-solving methods and techniques. Teaching has been an experience that we have found quite rewarding. Many of our former college students have been accepted to prestigious graduate programs or medical schools.

Unlike most tutors, who are either a student or have only pasted a couple of courses beyond what they tutor, we are college math professors with several years of teaching experience. Being educators and dealing with students every day, we can easily identify the weakness of students and we know how to improve their understanding of math.
