The Clay Yard
The Clay Yard is a full service ceramics studio. Its goal is to provide everyone from beginners to experienced potters and ceramicists a supportive engaging studio experience. Open studio hours offer opportunities to be supported by peers, critique pieces when requested, and work in a collaborative, friendly environment.

The Clay Yard has worked to create a place where artists can gather to work and complete their pieces and leave, not just with a great clay piece, but also leave with new friends. Also check out the raku page for information about monthly raku firings for the public and members.

Report
Access to the studio is only available to the general public, students and studio members during regular studio hours. Do not enter the studio outside of studio hours. The Clay Yard is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced items. Please be sure you check all areas of the studio where you may have worked before leaving for the day.
Raku
Report
Raku generally refers to a type of low-firing process that was inspired by traditional Japanese raku firing. Western-style raku usually involves removing pottery from the kiln while at bright red heat and placing it into containers with combustible materials. The Clay Yard offers monthly raku firing for both members and the public on the third Sunday of each month (with the exception of May).
