Norman and Marian Maher, both from the Southside of Chicag0 (Canaryville, Hyde Park, Burnside, and Pill Hill) moved their young family to our community in 1973 where they made their home until they passed away.
Since 2015, the Maher Funeral Home and Law Practice in the former Tinley Park public library has continued the traditions of our community in providing attentive, personal, authentic services to those experiencing grief by trying to make a family loss and legal challenges a bit easier.Pictured at the left is the Maher family during a celebration.

We were raised by a strong mother who was involved in music most of her life as a pianist, organist, and church choir director, the PTA, sold residential real estate, administered a local funeral home for 35 years, and was a friend to all.
Our father was a witty man who enjoyed laughter, good times, history, reading, and thinking of others - all attributes our parents instilled in us at a young age - and which by our chosen professions in the military, an orphanage, academics, the funeral service, and the law, we seek to apply for the betterment of our community and our country.On the left is Phillip A.
