Music & Rock School

At Music and Rock School we provide music lessons to students of all ages and skill levels. Helping you learn to play songs you WANT to play (while helping you learn the other stuff too - music theory, technique, songwriting, etc)! We provide guitar, bass, drum, piano, and vocal lessons near downtown Apex, NC.

At Music and Rock School we understand that every student is different, so there isn't a single "right" way to learn. Some students excel at learning music by "ear" while others are more comfortable learning from a book. Additionally, each student has his or her own goals and objectives.

As instructors, our job is not to dictate how and what each student will learn, but to work with students (and parents) to determine those goals and objectives, and give them the tools to succeed!Prior to beginning lessons at Music and Rock School each student is interviewed to determine elements that will be key to their success, such as favorite musical styles and artists, previous lessons or training, and their expectations.

These policies are in place as a result of past years of experience and customer feedback. By starting or continuing lessons at MaRS you automatically agree to these policies, but please feel free to reach out to us if you have questions. Music and Rock School is committed to making a fun/positive learning and teaching environment for its students and instructors.

Music & Rock School is not a traditional music school, and our instructors are not traditional, "by the book" instructors. In all of our instructors we look for musicians possessing a deep understanding of their instrument(s), and music as a whole. They are also active, working musicians, meaning they are regularly performing, writing, recording, etc.
