The Redhawks honored the fallen American soldiers during the Afghanistan evacuation with 13 empty chairs decorated with a flag and rose. I am honored yet humbled to serve Central Private as Head of School. First, I give honor to God for allowing me to serve in this capacity, a role I view as a ministry that I will perform to the best of my ability as unto Him.

The vision to build a school for the children began over a cup of coffee between three gentlemen and resulted in the commitment of several local families to personally invest in the development of a new school campus. These families formed a non-profit corporation that was composed of seventeen board members.

Mikelyn Smith Sumner has been actively involved at Central Private School and began serving on the Board of Directors in 2018. She is currently serving as Board President. As an alumni member of CP (1991 graduate), she is honored and excited to be a part of the Central Private family. She and her husband, Jeff, have three children attending Central Private School, Carter (Class of 2025), Kate (Class of 2027), and Christian (Class of 2028).

After experiencing devastating loss during the flood of 2016, CP has rebounded and continues to make aggressive plans for future growth and development.

We are thankful for the families that choose to entrust Central Private with their child's education. We strive to make the process as smooth and as straight forward as possible. Our team is ready and available to assist you throughout the registration and enrollment process. The annual re-enrollment fee is $150.00 per student for grades Preschool-12.
Financial Aid
Report
Each year, Central Private dedicates resources to assist qualifying families who may need assistance paying tuition for children entering kindergarten through 12th grade. We have selected FACTS to conduct a fair and confidential assessment of each family to determine the amount of financial need. Applications for assistance must be submitted annually through the FACTS portal.
