Summer Camp at Outpost is a San Diego tradition, and we look forward to you joining our camp family in 2022. We offer programs for children entering grades K-9 with four separate two-week sessions running from June through August each summer.
All three Outpost programs are located at Canyonside Community Park next to the Los Penasquitos Preserve close to the communities of Rancho Penasquitos, Santaluz, Scripps Ranch, 4S Ranch, Rancho Bernardo, Poway, Sabre Springs, Carmel Mountain Ranch, Carmel Valley, Del Mar, and Rancho Santa Fe.

Outpost Summer Camps (OSC) offers ACA accredited Summer Day Camp programs at our fantastic location in the north inland "I-15 corridor" of San Diego, California.
OSC was founded in 2001, will be celebrating its 20th summer in 2022, and is privately owned and operated by Outpost Recreation and Education, Inc. Stuart and Kelly Jones are the Executive Directors, and they welcome new parents to our organization, the inspiration of which came from Stuart's childhood camp: Tom Sawyer Camps in Altadena, CA.Our philosophy on children and their development is foundational to everything we do.

Outpost is run by a team of child development professionals who work hard to provide programs of the highest quality. Our Senior Directors each have responsibility for one of our camp programs, closely collaborating with the owners/directors. Assistant Directors work with and receive training from the Senior Directors, coaching the counselors and working closely with campers each and every day.

We're still all dealing with a global pandemic, and we're thankful that we were able to offer a safe and incredible program in Summer 2021! In our family, we have five children. Our oldest is a junior at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and our second oldest joined him there this year as a freshman. We have a high school daughter (junior at Rancho Bernardo HS), and two elementary school kids (4th grader and 1st grader at Creekside Elementary).

Outpost Summer Camps provides group-centered, outdoor-based camp experiences for children and young adults designed to enrich and develop each participant's social, emotional and physical skills. While most programs for children place the focus on the activities, our model for success is built around the process.
