Julian Oaks is a Christian camp which ministers to children who have been removed from their homes for reasons of abuse or neglect. With the help of many volunteer counselors, children between the ages of 9-18, who desperately need love and hope are touched by Jesus. They are invited to come to camp for a week in the summer, a weekend in the winter, & attend other gatherings throughout the year.
Developing relationships is key to the long term success of the camp program. In the summer we maintain a ratio are 2 children per counselor and only 20 children per week. In the winter months there are 12 children, with 1 child per counselor. The relationships begun at camp often grow beyond the camp setting and the lessons learned last a lifetime.

Looking to be more involved? Becoming a camp counselor is an incredible opportunity to show the love and hope of Christ to youth who have been abused and are now living in the foster system. We are looking for mature Christians who have been committed to Christ for at least 2 years and are at least 19 years of age, with a personal testimony of the leading of Jesus Christ in their lives.
Testimonials
Report
The Lord provides so many people that are involved in camp in various ways such as Foster Parents, Social Workers, Counselors, and Jr. Counselors. The following are a few stories and testimonials from people who have partnered with us or served with us. Eight years ago, with a mixture of fear and excitement, my husband and I made our way up to our first high school summer camp.

Teens from local churches and mature campers serve as Jr. Counselors, help with activities and serve as leaders in camp spirit and motivation. These selfless youth help with chores, perform in skits, bring enthusiasm to every part of the program and serve as role models for the campers. Counselors must be at least 19 years of age and have been a Christian for at least 2 years.
More Ways to Get Involved
Report
There are many ways to be involved with the ministry of Julian Oaks, but we know that without the intercessory prayer of countless people, the amazing healing and transformations that happen in children's lives wouldn't be possible. There are generations of strongholds that grip these children and only through prayer do they arrive with hearts ready to receive the sweet love of their Heavenly Father.

Our hope at camp is to support you in your efforts to instill love and responsibility in children who are entrusted into your care. Many foster parents that we work with are blessed that there is a camp like ours which is able to come alongside them, step in for a short time, and partner in the development of their kids.
