The Carteret Community College Foundation, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation, organized under North Carolina statutes, and granted tax exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service.

In the early years, the college offered a limited number of vocational technical courses such as marine diesel, small engine repair, air conditioning and heating, and electrical.
