Mexicue
We smoke, braise, char, pickle, juice, mash, grind and create - in a way that is inspired by the Mexican tradition. All with a twist of the American South. We believe in authentic, down-home cooking techniques. Nothing fancy about it. Just like our food, we take a seasonal and experimental approach to our cocktail program.

We muddle, mix, strain, stir and shake with the same level of creativity that we use in the kitchen. We're particularly excited about agave spirits and share our love of Mezcal with our guests and online community with monthly mezcal tastings (.virtually for now).

Tacos are on point and the staff is very courteous. Haven't had the drinks yet because I've only done takeout. The specials appear to be a great deal 🍹Some of the best guacamole in the city with homemade chips. Top notch shrimp and beef brisket tacos!

Stumbled on this place after a different taco spot was closed and we were so pleasantly surprised by how amazing it was. The birria taco platter was plenty for us to share. We split the chicken and beef taco. They were both tasty but the chicken was superb. The spicy margaritas were fresh and the guac had a nice spicy smokey flavor. Will def come back to try shrimp tacos and of course more chicken birria tacos.

The ambiance is great. Our server was amazing. The food was okay. I believe the Grounded Beef needed more seasoning. The cheese that they use is delicious. The drinks were okay. Mac & Cheese and Cornbread is not worth ordering. The food does not do justice for the cost.

Ive been here 5 times and the service gets worse every visit. A real shame being that they are family owned and operated. I would recommend taco daddy around the corner. I wont go to Mexicue again.

Me and a co-worker went here on a Wednesday to grab some quick lunch on a relatively overcast afternoon. They had seating available indoors and outdoors, and we opted for outdoor seating.
They are still on digital menus where I got the Grilled Veggie Burrito ($10.50) and my co-worker got their taco plate which consisted of a pulled pork taco and a pan seared cod taco priced at $6.50 each. Tacos I thought was priced on a slightly higher end, but Burrito's were priced perfectly.
Food arrived within 15-minutes of ordering and was extremely flavorful and delicious. My burrito had so much flavor and

This is a great place for brunch or if you're looking for a quick bite with a cute atmosphere. I've only come here for brunch, but loved it so much! The breakfast burrito is amazing, and if you're feeling like you want a little something extra, GET THE CASHEW QUESO!!! I don't care if you're not vegan. I'm not either, and that stuff is to DIE FOR. Perfect amount of spice and it's so creamyyyy.

Pictures below is the breakfast margarita, which i also recommend, however i'm not the biggest fan of the cinnamon toast crunch rim. It's a great idea in theory

First time visiting and really enjoyed their tacos. I ordered 3 tacos, the Nashville chicken, brisket, and fish. They were all really good and super filling that I couldn't finish. Their mock-tails were pretty good too. The guac and chips were delicious as well. The place is super big and it's 2 floors, with some outdoor seatings. The only downside was that everything was a bit pricey.

I live in the neighborhood and of all the spots in the Harbor Point area, Mexicue is my go-to local favorite. It's become like my Cheers. Bobby the manager and Paul the bartender are always so welcoming and friendly. The service is excellent and the food is consistently good. My current favorites to eat are the Smokey Chicken Tacos and the Brisket Bowl, but I haven't had anything I don't like. I eat out a lot and tend to find that most waterfront restaurants coast on their location, with subpar food and service - I'm happy to say this Mexicue is an exception to that rule on

Friends and I ate here for brunch, which was underwhelming. We all had OJ margaritas, which were surprisingly delicious even with the Cinnamon Toast Crunch rim! However, the guacamole brought out was the wrong order (ordered the charred jalapeño and only received the regular). We didn't really realize it at first, but they brought out the correct order afterwards so that was nice (mistake wasn't made by the waiter, but someone else). The huevos rancheros that was ordered definitely wasn't your typical dish... very underwhelming. Jam burrito and burnt end burrito and bowls were

Really hate writing 1 Star reviews but this place is just awful.

The most unorganized wait staff I've ever seen. Literally no idea what I s going on, wrong orders, randomly selected tables, and unprofessional. The 3 times I've been here were increasingly worse, long waits for check, wrong items given, ordered coffee and received it cold. Like cmon, it's black coffee, all you have to do is make sure it's hot.

Food is pretty below average, super soggy burrito, and low quality tacos (meat was cold and chewy for both chicken and burnt ends). Guac was decent but clearly has been

I'm going to be honest if I could never go to this place again I would probably be extremely happy with that situation. A co-worker suggested going here because there was a certain ambience. The place is a hyper-inflated cesspool of fake Mexican food overpriced weak drinks and a place where you take your bourgeoisie Bumble date in hopes of getting in her pants. Even the furniture you sit on to eat is literally out of a garbage dump. The food is tasteless and inauthentic. Save your money go to Taco Bell. And the service is atrocious absent-minded people just ignoring you. Top it all off they

We came here on the Monday of Labor Day. They told us we had to wait for 1 hour and 15 min in order to get a table. We waited and it actually took longer than that for us to get a table. We were escorted out to our table and the whole back patio was a complete mess. The floor had food everywhere and tables were not cleaned that didn't have anyone sitting at them. We put our order in and the waiter came back and told us he was out of more than 75% of the menu. We had to change our order since all they had available was chicken tacos and brisket. They still were continuing to seat people even

Fairly good Mexican food, a bit on the pricier side, but pretty good. I had the huevos rancheros. They could be even better with beyond meat and sunny eggs with a bit more spicy.

Nice place, nice food, nice drink! The guacamole I ordered, d one with bacon and grilled pineapple, it taste good but a little bit sour with lemon, I guess they don't measure d amount of ingredients u put in a dish and it's not creamy! They should know, that's supposed to be their specialty!
Drink cocktails is good! Just a little pricey!
But experience was very good, very nice place! the Burnt End Burrito was good! I could suggest it!

I came here on a Saturday evening with my husband, no reservation so we were sat on the second floor which we had a nice view.

Although it took us a while to know who the waiters were.

Our waiter did apologize for taking long; we clearly understood during this time was many businesses are struggling and don't have much staff working.

We ordered some guacamole. It was terrible. It had no flavor.

The margaritas were good for my liking.

We ordered different types of tacos, they had good flavor, but I was unhappy since the food was cold. I'm not too fond of cold food.

Indoor and outdoor dining options available here. I had the Nachos with Burnt Ends and loved it. It was delicious. I also had the sangria but found that it tasted more like juice. I am not a big drinker but felt it needed more of an alcohol kick. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean. The service was good. We were a party of 4 and spent a little over $100.

This place was a surprised. I was expecting "just another mexican restaurant" but it was amazing! My family and I started with guacamole (and chips), and then we ordered a plate to share that I can't recall the name right now (it's in the pictures). It was supposed to be for 4 but we were 3 adults, and it was really good! We left some sauces because we couldn't eat anymore. Really good restaurant :)

Lunch, brunch who knows but It was noon and we had Pineapple Mimosas that were bubbly, sweet and downright awesome. That says brunch to me but taco's say lunch! I like Mexicue's slogan, ... .

Mexicue has a huge outdoor dining area and also a rooftop area that overlook Harbor Point. It was too damp and rainy to go outdoors but they have lots of windows so we sat by the floor length windows with a great view of the Harbor and kinda felt like we were outdoors, sorta.

My friend ordered the plant based nachos minus the pickled onions as they don't agree with her. Me and my other

Went here the other night for the first time. Very cute place for a date night. Had the monitor which was good but was missing the sugar cane stick and served in a short drink glass with big slices of lime. It didn't really taste like a mojito but it did the trick! I had the spicy kale salad bowl for my entree and it was very healthy tasting. I didn't realize I was should've added meat! My date had the pulled pork bowl which I tasted and it was better than mine! The service was excellent and the waiter was very accommodating. I definitely would come back to try more stuff

The good:
- Awesome margaritas
- Lots of healthy options like watermelon radish chips instead of tortilla and lettuce wrap tacos. Gluten free options too.
- Great seasonal guacamole
- Amazing tacos

The bad:
- Drop in quality recently. I ordered brisket burnt end tacos and got what looked like hastily cooked beef stew cubes. Very cringe.
I was also served gross freezer burned vanilla ice cream with my brownie.
Their avocado tacos used to have amazing batter fried avocado. No longer. Now it's just raw slices.

I don't like that they cut corners like this at their price tier. Get it together

Picked mexicue since it was waterfront dining and 5 mins away from the Hilton we were staying in .

Made a last minute reservation which was great on Thursday 8/20 at around 3 pm - we arrived and were seating outdoors , we asked for a table with some shade and luckily we got it .

3 stars because of the service and attitude. Our waitress wasn't friendly at all , condescending and not helpful. My friend is vegan and asked a simple question about a sauce and the waitress was like umm I don't know and just plain rude . Then I asked if there was a way I can order something that wasn&apos
