Had surch a good time surfing in Orange County with my friends! They have good instructor rations, 1:4. We all got up a bunch of times and felt safe! Everyone I've dealt with at the company has been so nice and cares for the beaches and ocean! Thanks for a great time! I couldn't have asked for a better experience!
It was absolutely my first time ever being on a surfboard and my instructor was knowledgeable and patient! I felt safe the entire time and never got too frustrated. Thanks to excellent coaching I stood up a few times before the end of the lesson! I was beyond excited! Would definitely book another lesson with them!

My name is Helina Beck, and I founded Wavehuggers Surf School out of a passion for the sport of surfing, as well as a deep desire to help protect the ocean. I first learned to surf at the age of eight and was hooked immediately! Soon after, it became clear that this new passion would guide my lifestyle forever.

Being a surf instructor with Wavehuggers is a fantastic opportunity to deepen your leadership, customer service, and waterwork skills. Our surf instructors teach private individual and group lessons, large group community classes, and assist with our spring and summer surf camps, and adventures. You'll also have the opportunity to participate in our ocean-conscious events!
