Business Details
We founded Rohrbach Brewing Co. in 1991 as the first craft brewery in Rochester, New York. Our name honors the German town of Rohrbach, where our founder drew inspiration to bring authentic craft beer to the region. We began in the historic German House on Gregory Street and have expanded to two locations: the Railroad Street Beer Hall and the Buffalo Road Brewpub. We have brewed consistently for over 35 years, evolving from growler fills to reliable can releases while staying true to our roots. Our beer reaches stores, restaurants, bars, and sports arenas across Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, and throughout Upstate New York. We are a family-owned small business dedicated to crafting timeless beers and improving the community we call home.

We take pride in our specialized brewing skills, honed through decades of hands-on experience and a commitment to quality. We solve our customers' desire for genuine, locally crafted beer by offering a diverse portfolio that includes core series, seasonal releases, and barrel-aged specialties. We uphold professional standards by maintaining transparent processes, rigorous quality control, and full traceability from grain to glass. We are committed to client satisfaction, evident in our welcoming taprooms, brewery tours, private events, and responsive customer service. We reinvest roughly 15% of our annual profits into local initiatives, reinforcing our role as a responsible community partner.

As beer lovers this is our go-to place. It's always busy here but the servers keep up and are all wonderful! Never thought I would be a fan of German food but I've been proven wrong! Had some great new dishes here, and the Mac and cheese plenty of times and I've never ever been disappointed.

Yes. We went again. If we want a good consistent meal and excellent beer we go here. They have changed the menu a bit but were still able to do my fish fry boiled and a different side of veggies (diet time). My husband can't get enough of the bacon bourbon burger. Always delicious and always great service.

Rohrbach has been one of my favorites and I typically rave about it to family and friends. Today really soured that opinion for poor service. We were seated, no one came over for a good ten minutes. Things happen, absolutely okay, let's get our order in and get to the good food and beer. We ordered flights. The waitress came with them, spilled them all over the table, brought no napkins or made any mention of the puddle on the table. That's okay, we'll ask for more napkins when she comes back. We order an appetizer and decide we should order our food right then because we&apos

I want to start by saying I love this place and think the food (usually) is amazing! I highly recommend. BUT I wanna save anybody that loves salad like I do to NOT order one from here... stick with literally anything else. This is the salad I got, that is apparently ahi tuna and this salad cost me... $22!!!!!! I can't make this up. I'm very disappointed. The cheese? The tuna? The set up? I give this dish 0 stars, but I've loved everything else I've gotten there so 4 stars overall :)

Great brewery and pub on the west side of Rochester NY. A bit laid back service, but friendly. Good selection of food and beer. Would love to know the hops in the beers, especially space kitty since it states 3 rare hops. No one could actually tell
Me what they were other than it had citra. Still looking for that answer and I will update this review. Met John the owner really nice guy, engaging and genuine I like that. The food was good, o had the broiled fish and quesadillas. Wine was heron hills or toasted head for Chardonnay. Atmosphere is awesome it took me back in time to the pubs in Europe

The appetizers are at least are decent. I ordered the beef stroganoff thinking it would be good at a German restaurant, but it was disappointing in almost every way. We got a flight of beers but most of the options were out of stock, still they were good beers at least. The noodles were cooked weird and impossible to untangle by the time the dish made it to the table. The sauce was cold, I guess they finished cooking it first and waited for the other dishes to be done but it lost all it's heat by then. The stroganoff 'gravy' tasted too creamy, sort of like eating cream cheese on
