Services
Private Sailing Lessons
Our certified instructors provide personalized sailing lessons for all skill levels from late June to August. Sessions focus on safety, navigation, and seamanship in a supportive environment. Lessons typically occur weekdays after 5:15 PM and weekends between 9 AM-4 PM by reservation.
Boat Rentals
Members may charter Rhodes 19 sailboats for pleasure cruises or racing between late June and August. Rentals require prior approval and safety briefing. Reservations available daily 9 AM-5 PM with mandatory PFDs and VHF radio usage for safety compliance.
Private Events
We host exclusive private events including weddings, corporate functions, and special dinners in our waterfront venues. Our event coordinator assists with planning from 10-person gatherings to large celebrations. Custom catering options feature locally sourced ingredients from Nantucket partners.
Junior Sailing Programs
Our youth sailing initiatives teach children essential maritime skills while emphasizing safety and environmental awareness. Programs run seasonally with certified instructors maintaining low student-instructor ratios. Curriculum includes basic sailing techniques and competitive racing preparation.

How can I join Nantucket Nantucket Yacht Club?

What sailing programs do you offer?
We provide private lessons, junior/adult sailing classes, competitive racing programs, and boat charter opportunities from June to August.
Can non-members attend events?
Private events require member sponsorship. Non-members may attend as guests of members or through approved event packages.
What are dining hours?
Seasonal hours: Patio Lunch Wed-Sun 12-2 PM, Fall Dinner Wed-Thurs 6-8 PM, Burgee Bar Fri-Sat 5 PM-8 PM.
How do I reserve a sailboat?
Members must complete an application and safety briefing. Reservations available online or through the Sail Office during operating hours.

My family owns a summer property on Nantucket and are members of the yacht club. It offers great activities and amenities, however, there are some downsides to this club. The food that they serve there is deplorable. Members will say that it is delicious, but in actuality, I have trouble eating it. I am in no way, shape, or form picky whatsoever,… but if we're paying expensive fees for a prestigious yacht club and get food that tastes like it came from the dollar tree, it isn't as great as people make it seem. The cheese and hamburgers come in tinfoil wrapping and are the same burgers that

I go to Nantucket mostly for my family and Thanksgiving not only is my family a member of The Nantucket yacht club we go to their parties also and not only that my sister got married in Nantucket and had her party at the Nantucket Yacht Club
