Boating on the North shore of Chicago is one of the best places to go boating because it's close to home and it's normally not to busy on the lake unlike boating off of downtown Chicago or in any of the nearby lakes like Fox Lake or Lake Geneva which can have very heavy boat traffic. I have been boating since I was a young boy with my dad in Lake Geneva, then Lake Michigan in Belmont harbor and then Wilmette harbor.

All you need to rent is a driver's license, major credit card, previous boating experience and be at least 35 years of age. Are reservations required? We require at least 3 hours notice but recommend making advance reservations for weekends or holidays.
