I was having trouble figuring out the proper items I needed in the wellness department and the store associate named Georgia was BEYOND helpful. She was extremely knowledgable on all of the products, friendly, and so eager to help me in figuring out what I was needing. I felt confident in all of my choices thanks to her, so thanks Georgia!

Lots of delish things, if you have the dosh. Alameda's Whole Foods/Berkeley Bowl. A bit stronger on "things neurotic white people eat" than on "global food celebration" but that's like my opinion.

I love that this establishment exists. They stock such a huge variety of everything in such a small space without it feeling cramped or claustrophobic. I love that I don't need to go to Whole Paycheck or Berkeley Bowl to get organic/non GMO food, body care, supplements, cosmetics, PPE, or sustainable housewares. Everything is always fresh, easy to access, and there's always something new to check out plus the employees are knowledgeable and friendly. That have rooftop beehives and pre-pandemic they would take a frame from the hive and customers could sample the honey straight from the comb, wax

Alameda Natural Grocery is the hippest place to shop for groceries in Alameda. In fact, some peeps come from the "mainland" to shop there. As I entered the store from their parking lot, on the left was a bulletin board with information about music and children. On the right, there was a bakery display case. I couldn't resist getting a large crispy breadstick with seeds, jalapeno and cheese. I also got some chocolate chip, molasses, and oatmeal cookies--they were so delicious I almost ate them all before getting back in my car. They have a fresh fish and meat market where there is a butcher

The Alameda Natural Grocery is an amazing market, also famous for keeping beehives on the rooftop. The classic old Ford dealership building is home to this market and several other smaller shops complementary of the grocery store. The people were friendly and very helpful. It was inspiring to see people as busy as their bees, stocking shelves as quickly as shoppers were gathering produce and more. ;)
