Portage Brewing Company is comprised of lake dwellers, bikers, fishermen, hikers, and home brewers, who all share a strong connection to the outdoors, and craft beer. Being situated within Chippewa National Forest, off the banks of Leech Lake, we are focused on providing you with a destination experience.
Whether coming from a far or locally, feel free to boat, bike, or drive on over. We do not sell food, beyond pretzels, but you are welcome to either bring food in, or order for delivery from Village Square. Menus are available in the taproom. Our 10BBL brewhouse showcases 60 barrels of steel fermentation capacity, and a 700 square foot wood cellar.

Our house blonde ale, made with locally roasted Portage Coffee from Kaffe Havn Roastery, vanilla beans, and Ceylon cinnamon. Reminiscent of our favorite morning cake with a cup of coffee alongside it. Fermented with our house lager strain, producing a highly drinkable, complex lagerbier perfect for colder temperatures.
