Went there for brunch, place was cold. The guy working was so slow, it took forever to get coffee and it was cold. We asked for hot milk and he brought back warm milk. The place smelled. There was no one there and it was Sunday brunch, that should have been a huge sign. We cut our losses and paid for the coffee and left. Will not be back again. Maybe dinner, but brunch is a joke.

Pretty expensive for super mediocre food and drinks which normally wouldn't lead me to write a bad review. However, the meal started off poorly when the patatas bravas came out basically raw. And then ended even more horribly when the I took a bite of the mushroom in the setas dish and it fully dirt. Totally ruined my appetite so it's a good thing the dish came out after we paid the check...

We stopped for some Tapas in the outdoor dining area. We were greatly disappointed, given how many good Tapas restaurants have opened in the last 10 years. The mushroom croquette was basically soup contained in a crispy shell, with a weird bitter taste. The garlic shrimp was mushy, meaning the shrimp was frozen then thawed (not fresh over ice). The asparagus was the best dish we tried. The white sauce complimented the roasted flavor. Service was in need of major improvement. No one came by to ask how everything was. It took forever to get a server's attention, and the staff clearly had no

This place really has no business charging what they do for their dishes. The food wasn't terrible, but definitely inauthentic and you can see the dishes essentially just being reheated right there in their tiny "kitchen": aka one chef behind a counter with two hot plates and two pans she rewashes in between orders. Service was good, I'll give them that.

My friends and I were reuniting after not seeing each other for several months. We decided on visiting Lamano (Chelsea) and made a reservation for 7pm on Friday, April 30th through resy.
The restaurant called to confirm my reservation twice. I confirmed twice.
When we showed up at 7pm to the restaurant, I was surprised to find that we did not have a table. I was even more surprised at how unhelpful, dismissive and ineffective the wait staff were at managing the diners at the restaurant.
My reservation was for the patio, and the waiter was like, "well you see it's complicated"

Very solid tapas bar, in a neighborhood that seems to have one on every corner. Tiny on the inside, but the Corona had us seated outside.
My sherry & tonic was delicious, as was my friend's cider from Spain. Two thumbs up.
The octopus was delicious; sliced with this somewhat-spicy tomato sauce. Definitely the #1 dish we ordered. The salad topped with ham was a nice mix of salty, plus some figs and tomatoes to change things up. The artichoke dish was fine, but fell weak compared to the other two...such is life.

One of my favorite places to go to in Chelsea and they are still excelling in service even in this pandemic. Large selection of wines from Spain to complement the tapas style eats. The mushroom and chicken paella- it's worth going even if just for that. So addictive. Quality is always fresh and you can see/smell them making the food. The service is always so welcoming and you can feel the smiles through their mask. They have sanitizer stationed right at the door for everyone to use and they were on top of the cleanliness. Can't wait to go again.

Let me paint the picture. We were just leaving Kleinfeld's Bridal, aka the filming site of my favorite guilty pleasure show, Say Yes to the Dress. I hadn't thought we'd get to go inside, but they let us go in and take a peek around. It was SURREAL. I was already soooooo happy when we wandered outside, feeling quite hungry. We started walking down the cute street and looked up and saw the cozy, lit up Lamano exterior.
We don't have any authentic Spanish tapa spots back at home, so I was overjoyed when we found a spot with fresh jamon, Mahou beer and croquettas. It brought me

Lamano Chelsea deserves more stars. I am blown away by the exceptional customer service, delicious food and intimate restaurant design.
I held an event here and everyone with the company went above and beyond to make sure it was impeccable. Kristian, Charlie (our host/server for the evening) and the staff were phenomenal, extremely communicative and very easy throughout the event. I applaud them! The food was delicious, well-timed and fed our group perfectly. The croquettes and seafood paella were the top for me. The wines and selection of alcohol was more than adequate.

This is a cozy and intimate space with a great atmosphere for small groups or pairs. All of the seats are bar-height, which lends to the casual feel. They have a great selection of Italian wines and small plates - I enjoyed the chardonnay and the organic white wine I got - both were served at a nice chilly temperature in large glasses that lent for better whiffing.
I tried the artichoke and cauliflower - really nice mix of textures with roasted vegetables and tender artichoke, with a creamy aioli-type sauce and a roasted red pepper sauce.
The short rib pita pizza was really delicious - generous

The lowish rating is due to the restaurant's fruitfly/gnat issue. I visited this place a couple of years ago (or was it last year?) and noticed the problem with the fruitflies. I was a bit suprised that management still has not corrected the problem. Perhaps, it's not a priority for management.
Fruitfly problem aside, Lamano has nice selection of wine and champagne. Since we were coming from brunch, we decided to order a bottle of champagne in lieu of ordering food. The bottle prices were pretty reasonable for the area, and I cannot really complain about that. Our bartender was pretty

Yeah, no, sorry. This place is a joke.
Like someone else very recently said, the portions are extremely small, even by Manhattan standards. If it wasn't for pure desperation to get some food in our bellies before a birthday outing, I would never have gone here.
First of all, the place is tiny and cramped and not in a cute way. We didn't have reservations so we were almost begrudgingly given a corner of a table for six, of which one chair was basically directly in front of the entrance door because they had the door propped open.
The food and drinks are way overpriced for what you

My companion and I were looking to get out of a panel after a movie screening at the nearby SVA theater. We looked at the map to see what was available in the area and Lamano was one of the options. I'm not sure why we chose it in the end but it may have been simply because we were already walking in its direction. I'm glad we did!
The place was small but in every facet packed a punch. Whomever designed the interior knew what they were doing. There is well placed mirror that makes the place look twice as big. It's a really good design trick! Because of the size of the place the

Popped in for a quick bite before catching a flight at JFK... we lucked out with happy hour specials so we sampled a few different items.
The interior is cute - tall tables only, funky little bathroom... the kitchen is the bar! Pretty cool what they put out from such a tiny space
We tried and loved the ham plate, tortilla, Patatas bravas
The Pan con tomate was good by it not great
The ensalada with beets was so yummy we each got one!
The cava sangria - delightful!
Great deals if you go between 4-6:30pm

The Quick: Great little tapas bar with phenomenal happy hour specials. Wonderful staff. Limited communal seating.
The Details: What a little gem! Emphasis on "Little", this spot is such a charming tapas bar. The menu is authentic and features items such as octopus, potato braves, croquettes and more. The chorizo happy hour dish was delicious! The manager and staff were lovely and everything was very affordable, worth a visit!
The Damage: Happy hour was extremely affordable, I think we spent $20 (pre tip ) for 2 drinks and a large tapas
