Rezdora
Rezdora is a New York Times three-star restaurant and a 2020 Michelin Star recipient from Chef Stefano Secchi and Partner David Switzer in New York City's Flatiron neighborhood. The menu celebrates the cuisine of Emilia Romagna and is centered around house-made pasta, a nod to the restaurant's name which translates to "head of household"-usually a nonna who hand rolls pasta.

Traditionally prepared meat, fish, local vegetables, and Northern Italian wines complement the offerings. Celebrate Thanksgiving at Rezdora! We will be seating from 12-3:30pm and serving our seasonal family style meal for $180 per person. Reservations go live Monday 10/25 at noon via Resy. Check out the menu here!

Came for lunch one day with my friend and it was great!

Pastas were al dente, great textures and flavors. Portions are a bit on the smaller end though. We probably would've gotten more but we both weren't super hungry and had plans for afterward anyway.

The waiter grated cheese on mine instinctively, which I guess isn't a big deal but I don't eat cheese so it was a bit off putting. I just scraped it off to the side and he apologized with free drinks which of course we enjoyed.

Definitely want to come back to try their dinner menu and some of their other pastas.

Rezdora is worth every penny. The food at Chef Stefano Secchi's restaurant transports you to Emilia Romagna, the service is impeccable, and the ambiance is everything.

My boyfriend and I arrived on a cold January night and were seated promptly. In front, I had a full view of the beautiful and modern bar and behind me were wine bottles lined against a rustic brick wall. The lighting is warm and the space is relatively small lending to an intimate and romantic ambiance. Music ranged from old school hip-hop to modern r&b to soothing instrumental making the dining experience more relaxed

Save yourself the headache and skip Rezdora. I was super excited to try this place given the hype but unfortunately it was overhyped and overpriced. Aside from the portion of the pastas being the size of my palm, they lacked taste. We started off with the burrata as well as the affetati misti which were fine. For the pastas we tried the tagliolini al ragu and reginelle verde. The reginelle verde was much better than the the ragu. I would rate the ragu a 4/10 and the reginelle a 6/10. We ordered the sirloin steak but waited about 45 minutes for it to come out but at that point we were no longer

I kid you not when I say I booked a month in advance because I really wanted to try this place, but it didn't reach the high expectation I set for it. Rezdora is still good but the dish I wanted to try the most (grandma walking through the forest in emilia) was WAY TOO SALTY :( Portions are really small - the two of us ordered 7 dishes in total. I really enjoyed the Burrata "Tartufato", Strozzapreti and the Olive Oil cake (MUST TRY!)

The food was absolutely delicious, albeit a tad salty.
I take off one star because the waitress was pushy - she kept saying that we didn't order enough, even though we said we are not big eaters. She recommended 3-4 plates per person, and claimed that the pasta dishes are "snack-sized" (see for yourself). My party of 2 ended up getting 4 dishes and were full at the end.

This is a review for lunch. If you check the day before they seem to release quite a bit new res for lunch the next day. Came right here when they opened at noon and seems like they were still getting set up. Nice that they have house still and sparkling to choose from. Really Affordable wine menu which is always nice esp at fancier places. I love the limited menu. We started with prosciutto and it was incredible, served on toasted bread. For the main, I got the gramigna giallo e verde. It was good but on the saltier side, would've been nice if it came with a bit of ricotta or something to

Underwhelming. Other reviews about the saltiness are true. I asked specifically to go light on salt and still found the dishes overwhelmingly salty. The bread has a good texture but the oil tastes like it's gone rancid. Burrata and fried gnocchi are decent. Pasta dishes were both salty. I couldn't taste the truffle. The waiter and busboy came every 5min for 5 times starting about 1hr into the meal to ask if we were done (we clearly weren't).

I have been a few times and have gotten delivery during the pandemic. It's obvious everything is done with care. The pasta portions are a bit small so we often order extra. I recently tried their steak for the first time. While the ribeye wasn't as tender as others I've had, the seasoning was perfect. I'd order it again.

After snagging reservations right at midnight I was so excited for this place but honestly cannot recommend.

Burrata and garlic bread were good, and so were the amuse bouche. I knew that portion sizes would be small from the reviews but hoped that the taste and quality would justify it.

Spaghettoni con granchio was salty. I usually disregard when people say salty in restaurant reviews because I'm a salty eater and find the seasoning to be adequate but this was not the case. This pasta had potential if there was more of it and if it had not been hard to chew.

Uovo ravioli had good flavor

Wasn't sure what to expect given some mixed reviews, but three of us ate dinner at Rezdora tonight and had a delicious meal. Burrata "tartufato" with toasted garlic bread with extra virgin olive oil - I could have eaten this all night. For pastas, we enjoyed the gramigna giallo e verde (my favorite), tagliolini al ragu, and bottone del cacciotore.

For entrees, the three of us shared the scallops with roasted squash, hazelnuts and saba and the veal involtino (braised) on a vegetable purée. Some of the best veal we've ever enjoyed in a restaurant. The food is salty, but

My wife and I had been wanting to try Rezdora for a while and were excited to finally get a reservation. We went in expecting something similar to Babbo but found Rezdora to be more of a barebones Italian experience, which lacks some of the elements you may expect at that price point.

Our first impression wasn't the best. We showed up 5 minutes early (at 4:55pm) and were surprised to see a line outside the restaurant. At first I thought it was for people without a reservation but it turned out that it wasn't. The dining room doesn't open until 5 o'clock so guests have to wait

I got the seafood spaghetti and it tastes too fishy. Maybe its supposed to taste like this, but I dont like my seafood to taste fishy. Otherwise I recommend giving Rezdora a try. For the price we'll come back. But it won't be a regular spot.

Very pricey for what it is. We did the tasting menu with wine pairing and ordered an extra entree but we’re still hungry. Pasta was good, but there’s a lot of good pasta in nyc for a fraction of the price. Waitress was friendly, sommelier seemed bored and like she was reciting a script.

This was the best pasta we have ever had, bar none, and we’ve spent a lot of time at great restaurants in Italy. The tagliolini al ragu deserves special mention. When it arrived at the table, it looked unassuming, but the first bite was a revelation. The pasta was beyond perfect, and the ragu was like nothing we’ve ever had. Very highly recommended. Service was very good, and the atmosphere was pleasant although the space between tables was a bit tight.

I was really excited to try this place - it had so much hype associated with it and it was so hard to get a reservation. And I'll start by saying that the staff were all so kind and delightful, the ambiance was really nice and I loved the decor of the restaurant. But the overall dining experience was a massive disappointment.

We ordered the five-course pasta tasting menu. And I fully understand that a tasting menu is a small sampling of different dishes, but I certainly expected a bit more. I thought, maybe the dishes would build in size as we went along for a potential entree-sized dish

Summary: Overall had very high expectations for this restaurant including raving reviews from friends and watching multiple videos on YouTube of the executive chef in action. Ambiance is very cozy, service is very attentive and reservations are hard to get. Where Rezdora fell short was the saltiness of some of the dishes, this was reoccurring theme in the many dishes we ordered that night.

We started the night by using Resy to grab a reservation in advance and had priority notification thanks to my Amex Platinum card benefit. We were alerted for an available table on a Monday night which allowed

I’ve heard this restaurant was closest to the original Italian taste, so me and my wife want there with 5pm reservation.
The service were great, after all this is a Michelin One Star. The food was also great, just a bit too salty. Maybe the original Italian food is just this salty, but I really needed a lot of water during the meal.
The steak is really good, medium rare is just amazing. The “grandma” ok but not as tasty as expected. In stead, the pasta with lobster is better. The union was too sour, so be cautious when I’m you order. The mozzarella cheese was very good.

1 Michelin starred Italian restaurant. The pastas’ texture was great and the flavors were good even though it was slightly salty. The small portion was perfect for me but the price is a little bit high for that portion. The tiramisu was wonderful but one thing was missing. When I made a reservation, they asked what the occasion is but the dessert I ordered didn't even have a candle or lettering for a special day. Nobody cared about the occasion. My mocktail was bland. Not recommend.

Love the whole ambiance and setting here

Interior:
Very cozy and a little loud, but in a way it feels more welcoming and casual, the perfect mood before digging into pasta

Service:
The staff was very attentive and friendly. They helped a lot with the menu and helping us what to decide, and give great recommendations! They act a little more personable too :)

Appetizer:
Got the gnocchi fritto. It was really good and highly recommend! They also gave us a complimentary small potato dish that was ok, but the fritto was memorable and delicious

Mm, so Rezdora has been at the top of my list for quite a while in a hodge podge of pasta options throughout NYC. It is fantastic and one day I will do the entire pasta tasting after I've trained for a marathon, that being said a bit soured upon my latest visit and sitting outdoors (if you must, do it, but otherwise, eat inside for the 5 star experience).

Easily a five star food experience if it wasn't for my poor outdoor experience. I know this is out of their control, but I thought the service and attitude in response was rather unfortunate and indifferent when a lovely neighborhood

Getting the reservation here was not that easy. I really wanna like this place but probably I was at too high expectation.
The waiting time was forever long, basically you had one dish, and by the time the next dish came, your stomach was empty again. For the taste, i was looking for authentic italian flavor. Not sure if this is just not a thing for me, I felt the pasta was way too heavy and salty. My friend ordered the aged steak but the flavor was mehhh. It's definitely not bad but we felt it didn't match the price and the wait time.

Came with very high expectations after hearing stellar reviews and watching the eater video. Definitely make a reservation far in advance.

Really appreciated the great service and ambience. Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. Loved seeing all the details of the space, including the tiles in the bathroom that matched the color and theme of the dishware, the Italian lessons playing in the bathroom, all the pastas are facing you, the Rezdora merch that staff wore, etc.

Now onto the food. The menu is unique and not something you can find anywhere. Portions are smaller, but this was expected

We got our check early after ordering the tasting menu

After having had brunch at Rezdora twice (once for our wedding certificate signing), we had high expectations. Long story short: come for brunch and order a la carte
.

We ordered the pasta tasting menu (5 courses) and were left thoroughly disappointed due to the ingredients, taste, and size of the dishes.

The first dish of tortellini was actually pretty decent and we expected the dishes to climb up in taste.

However, each dish afterwards left much to taste. The 2nd dish was fine but two bites. The 3rd dish was allegedly mushroom ragu

Definitely worthy of the hype. A must visit for pasta lovers! Reservations are required to be seated and they need to be made at least 3 weeks in advance.

AMBIANCE:
Cute ambiance. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant itself is long and deep with tables close to each other... so don't mind the eave-droppers.

FOOD:
We went for the tasting menu.

Gnocco fritto - it was sooo good. Highly recommend this appetizer. It came with 3 puffy breads topped with cured meat; prosciutto di parma, mortadella & coppa

Burrata "tartufato" - it was good. It came with "

Maybe my expectations were too high but I ended up disappointed, as I did not get a Michelin star experience.

Had been hyped up to try the pastas here. Ended up getting a few cocktails, an app, 3 pastas and 2 desserts.

Gnocco fritto looks interesting and is a crowd pleasing bite. The crab pasta stood out for being probably too Al dente. We're talking crunchy in the middle. I assumed that's what they were aiming so I trusted the kitchen here but after thinking about it more and discussing it with other diners, this might have been a mistake in execution. Flavor wise, it was good

For our experience at Rezdora, service was extremely slow at every step and the food, specifically the pastas, was WAY over salted. We ordered the Gramigna (over salted), Tagliatelle (over salted too and noodles were stuck together), Steak and Egg (the egg was the highlight), and Focaccia Pomodoro (kitchen ran out of tomato focaccia so we settled for regular focaccia).

Service was so slow that by the time the pastas came out we were so hungry. So, Rezdora served up a tricky puzzle. Would you send back the over salted pastas and wait another 20-30 min, or try to eat them? We were so hungry

Very disappointed from this place
While some of the dishes were very good, there were some that you don’t expect to find in a highly rated restaurant.
Appetizers were very good.
Pasta served cold. Too salty. We were group of 4 and all of our dishes were medium or bellow.
Had also side dishes that we couldn’t eat. Avoid the balsamic onions - not eatable.
While food was inconsistent and bellow quality, the service was poor.
Server didn’t show up. Forgot our asked and had to remind him multiple times, cocktail arrived with main dish. 2 out of 4 desserts in the menu weren’t available
