Berkeley Hills Nursery School is a community of teachers, parents and children working and learning together through play. We provide a safe, warm and nurturing environment in which the uniqueness of each child is honored. We believe in the integrity of each child, and that each child is a person in his/her own right. We believe that each child has the right to achieve his/her full potential and that as teachers we must provide many and diverse opportunities to stimulate growth for physicality, language development, cognitive skills and emotional development.
Admissions
Report
Berkeley Hills Nursery School welcomes all children regardless of race, religion, and national or ethnic origin. Admission is on a space available basis with attention given to achieving a balance of ages and genders. To be admitted to the Red Room (3 year old program), a child must be at least 2 years 9 months old in September.

The school is located in the North Berkeley Hills, close to Shasta and Grizzly Peak. You may enter via the stairs from Sterling Avenue, or from within Grizzly Peak Park directly adjacent to the school. If entering through the park, you may use either the pathway leading from the sidewalk on Whitaker Avenue or go up the staircase adjacent to the slide inside the park until you see the Berkeley Hills Nursery School sign.
