I started at VAA in 8th grade in 2016. Based on my experience Id give this school a pretty good review. Here are the pros and cons of Virginia academy
Pros:
1.Good teachers. The teachers at Virginia academy are very kind and helpful. I believe that for the most part they care strongly for your education. Our principal mr. feathers is awesome and he truly shows that he cares about our students
2. Good environment. If youre looking to escape a very crowed environment like public school, VAA is the place. At VAA classrooms are smaller so you have a better opportunity to participate in classes

TERRIBLE!! The preschool is very uncaring and build make such a palpable wall between you and your little one. My baby was in preschool there and hated it, and she's the type that isnt shy about joining a new school. I knew something was wrong! the teacher would also be very impatient when asked questions- can you imagine what she must be like when there aren't parents eyes on her!

I went for a tour of the school and it was Ok. I had several questions and the tour lady, Christine did not get back to me. I emailed and asked for a phone call to follow up and she never called. Not impressed.

For our family and 14yr old son, Va Academy has been a 1st class experience. The school does a fantastic job. The faculty is hard working and knowledgeable. Mr. Feathers, Mrs. Howard, Mrs. Graves, Mrs. Audette, Coach Posey and Coach Hagler - are some (but certainly not all) of the magnificent people we have met while at Va Academy. We consider ourselves fortunate to have these amazing people in our lives. The Va Academy curriculum is current, tailored, flexible and challenging. I would like to take a moment to speak about the entire staff at VAA. I am thoroughly impressed with the level of professionalism, dedication, and love they express in their jobs. It is very clear the level of love they all have for their jobs and the students that attend the school. I spent the first half of my education in the public school system and the last half in private school so I have had the experience of both even though if was decades ago. Neither of those experiences come close to what I see in VAA. When COVID-19 struck, the school was unexpectedly closed for the safety of the faculty

We believe the early years in a childs education are so important in their overall development and we found that at Virginia Academy ( VAA) Our experience with the Virginia Academy has been amazing. Our two children, son is a 1st grader and daughter in K4, have been enrolled since K2 each. We couldn't be more pleased with the education our children have received and the overall academic and Christian environment, strong focus on character development and social development our children have experienced. Great school. Great for any one 2 years old to 12th grade. Great for any age. Great for any person. Great for learning. Great for anything. They have a good curriculum for kids. I would recommend this school for your child (or children.)
