Miss Avalon is a huge 78 foot fishing yacht powered by twin diesel engines that departs twice daily during busy summer months. We offer full day and half day trips depending on the time of year. We are also available for private charter parties and nature cruises.
The Avalon Lady is a shaded pontoon boat that runs daily fishing and crabbing trips in the back bay. We are also starting a kid's fishing camp in 2018! The Miss Avalon and Avalon Lady are docked in the Cornell Harbor at 14th and Ocean Drive in Avalon, NJ. This is on the Avalon side of Townsend's Inlet between Stone Harbor and Avalon.

Captain Irv started his fishing career as a young man of 6, fishing with his grandfather on the Emma C (the second Miss Avalon). The boat was docked at the end of 21st street. His grandfather Captain Irv Sr. (Captain Oggie as he was known) would pick me up on the corner at 7am. We fished 6 hour trips.

We have a clean galley with tables and chairs and seating for 32, along with the cleanest heads (restroom) on the ocean. Captain Irv is the 3rd generation captain in our family to skipper the Miss Avalon.

Bay fishing is a family funfest! Enjoy a calm day on the bay waters of the 7 mile island. Captain Brandon will take you out to his favorite fishing spots. You will have the chance to catch flounder, blowfish, weakfish, bluefish, kingfish, and a few other unique fish. The Avalon Lady stays in the bay and it is always calm, (no motion sickness).

For a week of crabbing and fishing fun. Learn basic knot tying, how to use spinning and boat fishing rods. Spending 2 evenings fishing the back bays. Then you will spend 2 evenings crabbing and learning how to bait and set up 3 types of crab traps. Captain Brandon will teach you to clean your catch.

Join Captain Brandon (4th generation) and the crew of the Avalon Lady for a fun family adventure. Head out into the back bay sounds behind Avalon. For a 3 hour crabbing tour. We crab with traps, hand lines and nets. You will have the chance to use 1 or all 3. Great for all ages with NO rocking. Bring your lunch or a snack and climb aboard.
