College Prep Charter School in Albuquerque
Amy Biehl High School was founded in the spirit of Amy Biehl, a young scholar dedicated to social justice and service. We graduate diverse learners and leaders who demonstrate the intellectual, social, and ethical habits to improve their communities. Our graduates are civic-minded, college-bound, and career-ready. We operate from a historic 1908 federal post office building in downtown Albuquerque, serving 300 students from across the city. Our academic model requires every student to complete two college classes at the University of New Mexico or Central New Mexico University while integrating community service projects.

We maintain a traditional grading scale and provide social-emotional support to match our academic rigor. Our teachers are pioneers in their field, compensated with competitive salaries and progressive professional development. We foster a culture of acceptance, empathy, and lifelong habits of heart and mind. Our charter goals emphasize college readiness, service learning, and anti-racism principles.
